Jane recently graduated from Murdoch University with a Bachelor of Laws, awarded with Distinction. She has a strong interest in policy and governance and brings valuable experience to the Board from both her academic and professional background. She was drawn to board membership as her son, Jimmy, is in the Koomal class and she wanted to contribute to the school community.
Jane wholeheartedly supports the Montessori philosophy and the principles that underpin this approach to education. She believes in the importance of fostering independence, curiosity, and respect in children, and is committed to supporting a learning environment that aligns with these values.
Prior to her legal studies, Jane worked for over a decade as a registered nurse, holding several leadership positions that focused on team development, service improvement, and governance. She has also served as the elected undergraduate student member of the Murdoch University Senate and sat on the University’s Honorary Awards Committee, further deepening her experience in governance and strategic decision-making
